So it wasn't till after I ordered the oil filter I realized that quite a few people on the forum have stated the Bosch 72204 oil filter is the filter that must be used. (I thought Mann was the stock filter) Something about the original filters melting?
This is the oil filter I purchased: http://www.amazon.com/Mann-Filter-HU...=pd_sbs_auto_1
Can that filter be used?

That is the OEM that I use on all my oil changes. It is the filter you want to use. Stay with the Mann Fleese and you will be OK.Originally Posted by Budget Baller

Yes, that Mann Filter you linked is the #1 choice for a long mileage fleece filter. It is the company that make the genuine MB filter. Most of other brands are probably just rebranded from the Mann as well.
