i have a 2002 slk 32 amg and was wondering if the c32 calipers will fit on the slk ??? i know that the whole brake kit won't fit but was wondering if the calipers would ?? thanks for the help.

No. The SLK brakes are leading, not trailing calipers. You may be able to get them to bolt up, but they would not function as intended.

don't really care whether they are mounted on the front or on the rear of the rear of the rotors.There may,however be clearance issues even if they do actually bolt up.Moving the caliper from one side to the other can also lead to entertaining little problems like brake bleeders that are now on the bottom of your caliper, custom brake lines,etc.

You should care about where they are mounted because unless the caliper is universal, which the C32 caliper is not, the pistons are not designed to be placed in the opposite mounting point.
So while mounting may work perfectly, your brakes may not!

is not affected by which way the rotor is traveling through the pads.Any of the other issues I mentioned will stop this sort of transplant....I've done similar swaps to upgrade racebikes,even to the point of swapping the bleeder and the brakeline locations for proper fit.The calipers were "upside down" and behaved normally.
FWIW,nearly all disc brake systems use the same caliper on both sides of the car:the only changes are that the bleed and brake line connections trade locations.(and the calipers themselves are flopped over)...Each side of the car's brakes see an opposite relative direction of rotation.

fit perfectly.I'd be surprised,however,if this is an easy transplant. Measure carefully,as if anthing isn't exactly fitted and clearanced, there are serious and expensive reasons to not do it.
FWIW,the C32 rotors are about .6" larger in diameter than the SLK's.The car's ABS system would be a potentially serious hurdle as well.
If it were my car,I'd look at an aftermarket upgrade.
