Headlight help

Hopefully someone can help me out.
I have the bi-xenon head lights and it turns out the other day my D2R bulb burnt. As I was changing it I realized that half of the connector burned off and i wont give power to the low beam anymore even with a new bulb. Does anyone know if i can buy a new connector? or any ideas on what i can do. Thanks guys!

I had the same thing happen about a month ago. You have a couple of options to fix it. The connector is part of the igniter, which is housed inside the headlamp. You will need to take out the entire headlamp assembly and take it apart to get the old igniter out. You can buy a new igniter for about 80 bucks online, or possibly cheaper on ebay.

The second option is to buy a new connector and cut the wires and splice the new one in.

I chose to buy a new igniter and replace the whole thing.

If you take it to the dealer, they will only replace the entire headlamp assembly for about 1500.00

Let me know if you need any further details

I wouldn't recommend splicing the wires. There's a ton of voltage going through those wires and im sure quite a bit of current also. Unless you can properly re-insulate it, I suggest you buy a new igniter.
