2002 C32 Alabaster white
C32 new ECU plus stuff
just to update you guys...
I've just had my C32 2002 back from a trip to George Fraser UK. Great work!
Anyway my problems were common to many 32 users:
1. Main Engine fan stuck on high
2. 'Coolant level' display on dash board
3. Loosing coolant and can't find where
3. Engine hesitation every now and then.
Well it turns out that my ECU was faulty. Because it was faulty it caused a slight hesitation once every few weeks, kept the engine fan on high and caused the car to run 'rich' consuming more petrol.
So, changed the ECU and new loom and WOW - all the problems solved!
The 'Coolant Level check' on the dashboard was a sensor fault in either the washer or expansion tank - anyway I changed both and it's fine.
The loss of coolant is due to a pipe which goes from the intercooler pump (mine is a Johnson pump) to the radiation. Because of the different diameter, when driving hard I was losing coolant through the pipe where it meets the pump - this happening under pressure. They could not find it originally after pressure testing twice but saw signs of leakage on the pipe after a day or so.
So after spending £2600 in total...I'm a happy man/boy/kid again!
