Of course my excuse is that pesky adaptive tranny that stopped shifting on me until I got home and unplugged the battery.

So copied the wrong class. They stick me in what they call a touring car class that allows bolt on midfications. My competition is Mitsu EVO's and STI's who are killing the class. I must also note the Volvo is no where close to stock. I am the only relatively stock guy in this class.

I occasionally take the C55 to my BMW Car Club of America autocrosses when the BMW is between tires, but they put you in X-Class which is for all non-BMWs so you end up racing against Lotus, Porsche, the last couple times there was a Nissan GTR, and there is always at least a couple STi's or EVO's and they are hard to beat with their AWD. The C55 has so much torque that when at slow speeds and on tight turns the wheels are constantly struggling for grip if you aren't really smooth on the throttle. I am pretty much the only Mercedes there but everyone loves how it sounds. I get asked all the time what kind of exhaust I have on it and they are surprised when I tell them it is stock with only the resonator removed. I get told people can tell when I get on the gas all the way across the track. I can only imagine what it would be like with the secondary cats removed, but no one in CA will touch your car's cats
