I was wondering if the e55 and sl55 y pipes are the same? And would the e55 y pipe work on my 32 and help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

Yes, they're the same. The only difference is older 55K splitters are three piece and newer ones are a single piece.

Do you mean to say that the new 55K splitter is now one MB part number vs. 3 part numbers previously, otherwise it is still the same exact 3 piece part?

Exactly, guess that was worded wrongly. It's just like you said, old - 3 part #'s and new - 1 part #.
