The cup kit is a little soft for the C32. I would recommend the H&R coilovers, which keep the stock comfort and handle like a dream!

Just wondering if there were any other reputable companies that make coilovers specifically for the C32?

Brabus does not offer coilovers for the C32. It has a "sport chassis" upgrade which includes 4 shocks + 4 springs. I believe H&R and KW are the two companies that have coilovers for the W203 at the moment.

H&R doesn't make the coilover specifically for the C32... but for the W203 chassis. it fits fine w/o any problems. i have them! and they are great!

yeah, i dealt with brabus before and they told me they don't make coilover kits.. i was referring to H&R.. so basically a kit designed for the C320 would fit the C32 with no modifications and retro fit what so ever.?

AMG Bred, Little confused about your sig.

2003 C32
(to come..)
- 19" HRE 546Rs OK
- H&R Cup Kit ...If you post this why are you asking?
- Brabus Body Kit ...Brabus w203 kit on AMG C32 ?????

ANyway to answer your question I use intrax Springs and AMG shocks (Billstien). The H&R w203 coil kit looks nice, although I have never drove in a C32 with the kit .

Yep - I'm planning on getting some installed in my C32 next month.

H&R's P/N for the coil overs is: 29367-1

They told me that this P/N is the same for c240/c320/c320wagon/c32

EvoSport sells them at a pretty decent price too:

i have set my mind on the H&R cup kit but i am always open to suggestions and make sure it's the right decision before i buy it.. as for Brabus, they told me they can add the body kit on the C32, so i figured it's the one i will go with.

Brabus only offers full bumper replacement for W203s, who told you that they can "add" the bodykit on the C32??? Ummm..... You have to replace the whole bumper. But if you do that, you will end up with Brabus front and rear bumper and AMG sideskirts, are you okay with that? IMO, I think the AMG kit is pretty okay for the car.

Btw, if you want superb handling, I dont think the Cup Kit will be your right choice. I had it for a few months and I dont like the ride, the shocks from the kit are too soft. But if you just want to lower the car because of "look", then the Cup Kit will be fine.

Why does everyone ask for a coilover kit specific for the C32? There is a 70lb difference between the C320 and the C32. No one actually makes a kit specific for the C32. If someone tells you they do, it is either the same as the C320 kit, or simply a stiffer kit that can be used on all w203's. I could put an evosport sticker on the H&R coilovers and tell you that they are C32 specific, but there's no gain in that. There is no reason to make a kit specific for the C32, because as far as suspension is concerned, a modified C320 will handle the same as a modified C32.

i am sorry, i meant the bumper, not just an add on bodykit. As far as lowering is concerned i am going mostly for looks, trying to kill that dreaded fender gap when i put on 19" wheels. How low did your car end up sitting after it had setttled? do you have pics of the car on the Cup Kit?

IMO, the Cup Kit is not a very good suspension kit, "handling-wise" - the shocks are too soft. I had them on for about 3 months and I changed the shocks back to AMG (and kept the H&R springs from the Cup Kit). Then I changed the springs to Renntech, which is the best springs available!

I like the Monoblock VI very much, very nice looking wheels, but my fiance thinks my car is too bumpy. And also the Monoblock VI are too heavy. Its a night and day difference between the 19" Monoblock VIs and the 18" BBS LMs that I am having now! The car is much faster with the LMs.

i just ordered the H&R cup kits last week :o

As far as the ride is concerned, was it close to factory and if the shocks were soft, was there fear that car would bottom-out?

AMG BRED - I've had the cup kit on the car for about 3 months, and from the first day I wished I got the coilovers. It's not horrible, but the rebound of the cupkit can't handle the spring rate and the car porpoises quite a bit over bumps. If I had 19" wheels I would be concerned about rubbing in the rear especially with people back there. ?

I'll be purchasing the Coilovers soon and replacing the Cupkit. Just my .02

Cup Kit with 19" wheels doesnt rub (even with people sitting in the back).

AMGBRED: can you cancel the order? I was told from various sources that our stock AMG shocks are VERY good. Just change a set of better springs will do the trick. And I can confirmed that. However, I must say I have not tried coilovers on my car (because I am happy with my current setup, but maybe your expectation is higher). If I were to get coilovers one day, I will definitely get the Bilstein PSS-9 that "shine" is talking about. The only problem is who carries them??!!

The stock MB shocks will wear out with aftermarket springs in under 10K miles. Vadim's car turned into a boat before we added the H&R coilovers.

I think I agree with the many opinions posted here (is that even possible

Remember you are trying to mod a pretty decent suspension to start with, so be prepared to spend more $.

If you need to lower, (springs only) H&R will be OK (6+of10) but Renntech is probably better handling (7+of10). Then again, Renntech is about 2x the price. Mach is right, both spring sets will be a bit tough on the front shocks because they are near the bottom of the travel range. Rears seem to be able to handle the drop better than the fronts so I suppose they will last longer, if you care.

Mach is right, C320/C32 shouldn't really matter but it is 70lbs, so maybe just a bit lower on the C32. (70 lbs to CO's wouldn't matter at all.)

If I can afford more, I would skip the cupkit and go straight to CO.
For CO, H&R presently has the lead, but the Bilstein looks to be the new contender, mostly because it is adjustable. But from what I read "all" of the PSS-9's adjustments are pretty stiff. The range is from stiff to unbearably stiff.

Harris, YOU are going to sell them, ha ha didn't you know?
OT when is your site going to be up, anyway? I'd like to see what you are selling these days.

Stiffness is often confused with ultimate handling. While stiffness often increases with handling, the stiffest ride willl not necessarily handle the best. People while always ask for the PSS9's because they have the adjustable dampening, but is it really needed? Would you prefer to need to adjust the dampening, or have one that is valved perfectly from the beginning? Afterall, you aren't adjusting the spring rate at the same time.
