Where to pour some ice water into IC..
#2
Stock: the C32 IC circuit shares the coolant reservoir (coolant runs at about 196degrees F), but this is the reservoir so it is lower temp than that. Also the IC is basically a separate "loop" just sharing the tank as a top-off. I suppose the IC circuit by itself runs in the range of 100F to 150F (temp depends on a bunch of variables including weather, SC activity etc) That circuit is never below outdoor temp and is usually 30 or 40 degrees up. I can't imagine that adding icewater to the actual coolant tank would be a good idea or effective, since the actual circulation to the IC from that coolant tank is is next to nothing.
With the EvoSport ODPS IC mod: the IC circuit is separated off into the windshield washer/headlamp washer tank. With the Evo ODPS adding ice water would be effective, for a short time at least (dragstrip). All IC flow circulates through that tank every round trip to the IC.
