reducing understeer

For those of you that track your C32, what have you done to reduce the amount of understeer that the stock car has? Bigger front anti-roll bar, suspension, tire change?

thanks,
Jon L.

The C32, like most cars will benefit greatly from all those things. Tires will help a great deal (S-O3's are my personal favorite) and stiffer swaybars will help keep the body roll to a minimum as well as helping the car achieve more neutral handling. As far as the suspension goes, the C32 is pretty good to start with, but if you want to get serious about it, move to a good set of coil overs.

A bigger front bar will only make the understeer worse. You need a bigger rear bar. I'm still waiting for the right swaybar kit. I think the Eibach set has too big of a rear bar and I'm not sure if the Evosport bar is big enough.

def bigger rear bar instead.

-> Turn in understeer.
Normally not a damper problem, but try increasing
rebound damping on the front.

-> Mid/exit understeer.
Try increasing rebound damping on the front.
Take into account that behaviour on corner entry
also can influence this phase.

u can try playing with tire psi...but that's usually the last resort

(sorry, the handling chart format got jacked up when I posted it here, oh well)

EvoSport Sways add: 99% mathematical stiffness rear and 42% front for a net move towards oversteer of 57%, and much flatter overall.

Eibach would add 257% rear! and 42% F. Eibach is supposedly not tuned for the Sedan. But I suppose it would fit.

I have been running the EvoSport bars for several months and you will like them, they are plenty stiff. (But you can't simply attack the C32 understeer via swaybars).

CoilOvers's are probably a good idea.
Also suggest running 235 rather than 225 up front.
Also suggest lowering rear CG by using the lowest possible spring perches in the rear.
Also suggest more front pressure and a little less rear pressure.
These things will help, but remember the C32 is a little bit nose heavy to start with, the F/R weight ratio is probably the root of much of what we are fighting here.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys. hopefully, I'll get a chance to track the c32 this summer. What about relocation of the battery into the trunk? Does any manufacturer make camber plates for the front suspension? What about front or rear strut bars? Also, what is the weight for the stock wheels + tires, front and back? Just wondering if maybe there is a reasonably priced way to lower unsprung weight.

thanks,
Jon L.
