Track Days and AutoX results for the weekend

Did my first track day with the C55, almost as good as sex. This is more of a road course car than autox. Only the Z06 Vette passed me with R-tires.

2 hrs of track time, full tank of gas but now warped front rotors.

Next track day with NWARC June 22/11 at Pacific Raceway.

AutoX on Sunday, not bad finish but there is still more left in the car.

I doubt you really have "warped" rotors. What you likely have is brake judder due to uneven deposits of brake pad materials on your front rotors. After a few weeks of driving, they should go away. It's very hard to truly "warp" your rotors.

Same thing happened to me. I swore they were warped but it in fact was the deposits as well.

Good job, it always puts a smile on my face when I hear of people tracking these cars.

Thanks guys, I'll give a try at the next track day in a few weeks to see if it burns off. I would have thought that the auto-x a few days later would have burned it off if it was deposits.
Either way, I am going to give it a longer cool down lap next time.

Which set of wheels were you running with - the SL55s or the stock ones?

Running with the SL rims and Star Spec tires. The tires take more abuse at an autoX event than at track days.

Talk to a friend that is a MB Tech, he said I just have rotor deposits but says if my pedal got mushy, switch to a higher temp brake fluid. That's next on the list.
