I've just ordered a used ECU and will have it in 2 weeks, i have already line up a friend to help me recode it.
Let hope it works, during this 2 weeks i will double check the wire harness. Ill will let you know how it goes......

Mine is having and had the same problems as you C Dirty Two.
I actually still have a spare TB because i bought 2 of them thinking its the TB.

This car is such a pain, I've put so much $$$$ into it that i can't cut loss... its great when its working tho

Exactly! I love this car when it's working, but when it's not I want to throw it off a cliff. I can buy a used ECU and have someone recode it for $250, which would be cheaper than buying a new one but still expensive. Best of luck to you, I hope we can resolve this problem.

Did the new/reprog ECU fix your issue? Just replaced my TB and it's running at the same degree of complete crap idle as it was before, plus the Limp Home mode, so I'm looking for what to look at next...

TB & ECU didn't fix my problem i have tried almost everything.
The wire harness was the major problem it only cost $700 and fixed everything, the garage insisted it wasn't the harness as there were no codes but i got to the point of giving up and got him to change it anyway and WOW all done still running fine 1 year after.
So you decide, the engine harness cured ESP, idle hunting, and over heating problems, unstable voltage messes with the ECU operation so many people think its the ECU.

Y'know, I had the wiring harness (or part of it - the "electronic throttle cable adapter harness") replaced when I got an ESP error like this two days into owning the car, nearly five years ago. Any chance you have the part #? Is it 113 150 00 28? Looking in one of Temjin's threads, he had the EXACT same problem as me and seemed to fix it by replacing the same wiring.

That's for the entire harness, the one that takes 4-5 hours to replace if you're lucky?
