2005 C55 AMG
I've had a few minor issues with the C55, but nothing big (knock on wood):
- Secondary Air Injection Pump: Has gone out twice on mine, and is a $600 dollar fix each time. Luckily the second time I had genuine MB Part warranty that replaced it for free.
- Engine mounts go out, need replacement after time ($300 or so).
- Vacuum leak: Somewhere in the system, has lead to rough idle... working on this one.
Otherwise, tires get expensive with all that torque virtually available at any RPM
Interior has held up well... make sure you get all weather mats as the AMG ones are expensive to replace / somewhat rare.
Like an euro car, make sure you get one with a good maintenance history.

Here are some (may be stupid) reasons why I also want a MB over the BMW...
-I don't really like the M3Forum, people, etc.. lol
** Geez, we havent heard that one before **
-MB has a more mature appeal to me and others rather than BMW. When they see a BMW, it almost appears that people say "Here comes the kid/teenager/20 year old"
** Another Geez, and you've got that right!!! ***
-It's 4 door, and its perfect. If only it was Manual.. But with auto, my parents can drive it with ease.
** Sorry, no manual........they're going the way of the dinosaur anyway **
What about MPG? My old MB got only like 16-17 city. and i'd be REALLY happy if somehow the C55 got at least 16 in the city..
** Highway, 19-21, city, 16-18 **** A lot of it depends on your right foot as well ***
Found 2 deals.
1.Black C55 with grey interior
-61.5k miles
asking $20,000
2.Silver C55 with grey interior
-74k miles
asking $18,000
I just don't know if they'll go down to 15-17k (depending on what i get for the truck)

Those are solid prices BUT for which years?? 06 is more rare than 05 Don't ask Dingle, he'll tell you those prices are a rip-off

Service A and B alternate every other service I believe. I'm ready for service B at nearly 38k miles. I do my servicing at an independent MB specialist, who quoted me $360 for the B service.

i personally dont believe owners of amg cars drive their cars like old ladies in caddys....I wouldnt...so i dont believe that never raced or never done a burnout etc stuff....why the hell else do you have that car....

Just make sure to get it inspected first so you know what (if anything) is wrong. That mileage could mean everything is already fixed or they fixed nothing and traded the car instead. Course that's not true about every car but just make sure to get an inspection if you don't want to be surprised.

But all of these cars are within 300 miles. It's hard to find cars like these in Arkansas.
