C55 steering wheel won't adjust/go down

I got into my car after class and realized that my steering wheel wouldnt go down. The motor inside the steering wheel is making the noise, but the wheel isn't moving. Anyone ever had this happen, or know what it is? Thanks.

Sounds like the "dog bone", the link between the adjustment motor and the gears, is broken. It happens often, part is cheap but labor is a good 2.5 to 3 hours

Yeah, I'm sure your probably right about that. I had figured that it got off gear, but I guess somethings actually broken. I'll look at it later today.

I just bought my c55 about 2 months ago and when i bought it the guy told me he was having the same problem and i havent got around to fixing it either. How bad is the job im a decent tech but have never had to do something like that before?
