how to tell if pulley is bad
So I've posted quite a few times about my "idle" problems. I've pretty much given up on finding out what the issue is. No codes, feels like I've changed just about everything. I've just sort of learned to deal with the shivering.
So anyway, I was leaning on my passenger door today while talking to someone at the hospital (wife just had a baby) And I notice that the "shivering" is actually really rhythmic. It sorta reminds me of when I'd spin the wheel really fast on a Radio Flyer wagon as a kid. (You know when the wheel spins to fast and starts to shutter) A bit like that but every, oh I dunno maybe 2 second cycles? Didn't actually time it, I'm guessing here. It's only noticeable when sitting in the car or leaning on the door. I notice the idle seems to be crappier when it's hot outside. (car is bone stock all OEM)
So I thought it could be a pulley maybe causing the vibration. I'm not an expert but looking at the pulley they don't seem to be wobbling or moving.
Thought I'd throw it out and get some feedback.
