Man I've been so back and forth. As of right now I'm about to throw some snow's on it and use it during the winter. Then I might sell during the spring and start DD'ing the SL.

Awesome mileages. Way to enjoy the cars. My 147 miles put on this year isn't going to win me any awards in this category.

Had 225K on mine when I rear-ended a Land Rover at less than 5 mph at a red light, and totaled it. No damage to the LR, but $13K damage to the C55. Miss that car. the E55 is ridiculous, but not nimble feeling as the C.

I think you're the winner @ 225k... highest mileage I've seen yet!

I hear ya! I'm going to Knoxville today to trade my Corvette in on a new SS sedan (4 door Camaro basically) and I'm still going back and forth!

The Corvette is cool and all, but I think the SS is a pretty sweet pickup. The interior is nicer than expected, and overall is a great car in all aspects.

I think the biggest problem is I've never had a chance to actually drive one! I've driven plenty of it's predecessor the Pontiac G8 and it's cousin the Caprice police car and I always liked those and the SS should be miles ahead of both. The one I'm getting is a manual, too. If it's as good as all the reviews say, I think I'll love it.

starts at 250k KM (155K miles)

05 C55 had the 250k badge
87 300 D had 250K, 500K, and 750K when it got rearended and totaled.
02 SLK320 has the 250K and 500K badge about 50k miles away from 750K badge. (wifes daily driver)

2006 Mercedes C55 at 90,000 miles, I'm the third owner and so far loving the car. Bought the car with 47,000 miles on it. Hoping to keep it for another 60,000 miles. Daily drive it and even in the winter with lots of snow.

Things that needed replacing so far:
48k miles: replaced crank position sensor
53k miles: replaced oil cap and valve cover gaskets
54k miles: replaced left front lower cross strut socket
67k miles: replaced left front wheel bearing, sensor for ABS was malfunctioning inside the bearing
81k miles: replaced bi-xenon headlights, both were turning pink
82K miles: brake fluid change, replaced both front cross struts, front suspension bushings, rear sway bar mounts, rear shocks, replaced left rear coil spring
84k miles: replaced brakes and rotors (lasted 36k miles since I bought the car)
85k miles: replaced battery

Just hit 115,000 myself. Biggest repairs were rear driver side wheel bearing and front shock absorber bushings. Transmission electronics pan due to a leaking bushing. And I think my amp just died. Can't be sure yet. Daily driver. Third owner and bought at 57,000 miles or something like that. Do most my work myself. Gaskets changed before I bought the car and could probably use it again as I go through a qt every few thousand miles now.

Hate to hijack this C55 thread but I just turned over 200K on my '04 C32 and don't have anyone to tell (my wife couldn't give a s#*t). Bought it at 71K, biggish-ticket replacements were front rotors once (DIY), throttle body motor (burned out), S/C intercooler, S/C pulley bearing (DIY), and trans shift solenoids to fix the 1-2 shift jerk. Still pulls strong. It's free, and my daily grin wouldn't get that much bigger if I replaced it and added a $500/mo loan. I'm driving it until it throws a rod....

05 C55 here with 165k miles. I plan to try to set the high mileage record and keep it till it falls apart. I plan to put 20k miles on it per year so the clock will get up there pretty fast. So far the car has been bulletproof, but I have done maintenance on the following.

1. Valve covers gaskets and other oil seals.
2. Plugs and wires
3. Mounts, transmission & motor
4. Cooling systems: Radiator, hoses.
5. Transmission: Fluid and filter and differential fluid.
6. Rear main seal
7. Starter motor
8. Suspension: Front and rear complete bushings and struts
9. Brakes: Rotors/pads & fluid flushing every 3 years.
10. Fuel Delivery: Fuel gauge float sensor
11. Alternator: Voltage regulator
12 Belts: Belt and Pulleys/Tensioners

That's about it, basically the maintenance on all of the powertrain parts.
