Tired of people mispronouncing the name, and no I don't see this as being a collectors car.

Honestly I see it pulling what the Mercedes 600 is today, worth a decent amount, but not necessarily skyrocketing.. Speaking of which, I want a 600 so badly

Mercedes C32 AMG
Before opening my business I used to work as a Valet guy. I've had the luxury of driving quite a few cars. I did at one point drive a Maybach and it wasn't all that impressive. Not so much that it didn't have nice interior, features etc But it wasn't all the much different than an S class.
When you get inside of a Rolls or a Bentley it has a very distinguished feel to it. The Maybach, though I couldn't quite pin it, just didn't feel like an awesome car. It honesty felt like someone took an S class and hung curtains inside.

me personally i think its to bad, i thought they were great limo cars not to drive only to be driven in. and to own one and have that kinda wealth is great. doesnt need to be flashy like a rolls cause it was a maybach.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage
wow i just realized how terrible this is actually. maybach is my favorite luxury car of all time. over mercedes, rolls, bentley, hyundai (lol) etc.
a thought to me is why didn't mercedes sell off the name like aston martin did to a private party? or like have volkswagon buy it or something?

I did not like the Maybach models when they were presented by Daimler years ago. The company spent too much on selling the image of exclusivity, when it looked similar to an S-Class. When you are going to spend more than 200k on a car, you want it to be exclusive, rare and special. Maybe the car was rare, however it missed the other 2 attributes IMO.

I have had the opportunity to drive one since a friend of mine had first a 04 and then traded for a 08. I may of said this before but when they first introduced the 57 and 62 models I had a feeling that Mercedes would cut it off soon. I told my friend that as well and with very low selling from the start I dont see how they could keep them going. Then in 08 when the world market became bad I knew the end was near. I didnt think it would be this quick. I actually predicted like 2015 or so.
As far as driving it. The car is totally amazing. Yes its a more expensive S Class and yes its shares alot with the S Class and really is not too much differant but the toys and innovation I am a huge sucker for
I noticed the car rides much lower then I thought it would. Hands down its the most comfy car I have ever sat it. Of course for the price 0 Expense spared. The V12 is powerful as can be and it performes great as should. Still thou I would go with a S65. But thats my .02 cents. But hey if anyone wants to give me a 57 or 62 I would not complain one bit lol
