i ve been told by main dealer that gears are not selected properly due to the gearbox ecu not working right ,,,,,£750 + vat ...+ fitting...any way i just bought one from a merc brakers for £75 + vat ....does any one know where it is located and if i could fit it myself without any tune or set up

I guess you are referring to the TCU. It is located in the pasenger compartment under the carpet in the foot well area. It contains software so make sure that what you got is from another C32 and not some other car.
