Sound after installing eurocharged sc pulley
Hi guys, I had the SC pulley installled last Friday and haven not driven the car since I got it back. This morning when I started the car I noticed this new noise coming from the SC Pulley area. Here's the youtube link, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmLGdcFusjU. This is definitely a new sound that didn't exist before so want to know if anyone else has also experienced this. Thanks.

Bearing in the pulley sent to you might be bad. They can come from the factory brand new and defective. Contact Eurocharged... Also, if you overtorqued the pulley bolt it can cause bearing failure.

Sounds like something is rubbing, I hear a constant clicking. Did you remove any other pulleys? I installed one of my NW PSK pulleys incorrectly and it made a horrible sound. Could be that the supercharger pulley is not spaced out enough?

The noise seems to only happen after cold startup. I didn't install the pulley myself as ASP Performance in Daly City (near SF) did it. I think they goofed on the installation. The gap between the SC Pulley and the Clutch seem to be uneven and much larger (.60mm+) than the .20-.30mm recommended by Eurocharged. I am going to take it back to them and have it done right. I haven't driven the car much so hopefully there's no damage.

This video below shows a rattling sound. It wound up being the idler pulley that I had replaced. Sound was only when there was load put on the car, especially when turning on the AC. Was your AC turned off in your video? Good luck with everything and hopefully it will be ok. ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

Frank, it's exactly as you have described. It does go away after the first cold start. Looks like everything is ok with the car. Thanks to everyone who chimed in.
