My wife's backrest on the passenger seat stopped working. I can hear the relay clicking so I would like to check the motor. I appears to be on the right side of the seat by the door. How do I get the trim piece off? This is the one on the lower part of the seat that the seat belt goes through. I see a tab on the back of the piece but I don't see any others and I can't remove it.

You have to remove the seat belt bolt through the trim piece. Then detach the little tab in the back and it slides off a hook in the front.
