Oops sorry just added that in its got 89000 km (55300) miles. Yeah I don't really want to get rid of it until spring but I sold my previous car (mustang) and that took months! I expect it will be the same with this. Will probably let it go if I got $25000 but no lower.

Good luck with that, I bought mine 3 years ago with 20K for $22K as an MB lease return. Prices have tanked on these cars and there are currently 3 for sale in Vancouver.

the value of a used car is only worth as much as somebody is willing to pay for it. kbb and what the dealer think you should sell it for is not a fair amount. then again you are in vancouver BC the market over there is a bit different than the US. put whatever price you feel on there if you want to sell it you will lower it if you want to get a buyer 10 year from now then keep it at that price (remember seattle is only 110 miles away and the prices are verry low there ) just my $0.02

I picked up my C55 9 months ago from the dealer in Newport Beach California with 63k miles. It was one of the original ones that was done up by Brabus as a new car. Paid $23k.
Just adding my 2 cents because I do not think your car will sell for that price.
I am not saying you should reprice it, I am saying that to the market it is probably only worth around $18k. Value of a car is what the consumer is willing to pay, not what KBB is willing to publish.

but US prices are so much lower than canada. In BC with around same miles i have to lowest price C55. Others are asking 28500, 29500 and 32000. Dealership will give me $21000 if i trade it in.

Definitely hard to compare to US cars, there are so many more in the US. I picked up mine in November, with 96,000km for C$22k, listed for $25k There's a really beat one in town with very high mileage (176,000 km), the used car lot wanted $22k for it, now listed down to $20k. They'd probably take $18k. With these cars, I think you really need to wait for the right buyer. It's not a Camry!

Price isn't unreasonable, stick to your guns.. if you don't get much interest after 2 weeks drop it 1k and go from there. Only thing to be wary of is pricing it too high a deterring potential sales b/c they are uncertain how flexible you are.
Price varies dramatically from region to region, month to month, and even car to car. Yours looks to be very clean, which makes a huge difference.
In the US, Atlanta specifically, I would say your car would go between 23.5-25.5.

Price would be unreasonable if he were in the United States... but he's not. The local market price(s) will dictate if he can get high 20's CAD for his C55.

Or shareholders giving their shares away is what tanked stock prices?
An alternate view, IMO, is that the massive recession tanked the prices of practically everything, and hit luxury goods especially hard.
Prices are whatever a buyer is willing to pay, and a seller is willing to accept. Any transaction requires both ingredients. Sure, you can get outlier-transactions that won't be representative of a realistic market price, but a C55 is a low $20s car in the U.S., and a C32 is a mid-teens car. Just the way it is - might as well accept reality.

Thanks for all the comments, in my area and in all the years ive lived here ive only seen 3 around. 1 was from texas, other was from vancouver and only 1 from the island. These are quite rare not alot of people know what the C55 is here. I do love the car ALOT. There is one of my customers who has a 2003 E55 and is considering trading in on a new 2012 SL550, so ill keep it at $26500 for now. Im in no rush to sell but once that E55 gets traded in price will drop.

"Haters" is the incorrect word. I don't think any of us are hating. It is a constructive conversation between people with different opinions.
Noted: Higher resale price in Canada. I did not take that into consideration.
