the DirtyTwo got new shoes.

I was having some issues up front with rubbing. I had everything as dialed in as it could be but my tire was rubbing not only on the coil on the inside, but on the fender as well.

Decided to go with 18's, great decision. The ride quality is much better; its not even that the 19's gave it a more sporty feel but rather a harsh uncomfortable roughness that made anguishing sounds when even just hitting the little lane reflectors on the freeway. Nonetheless, I did have the 19's on ever since I purchased the car and they did look good.

old specs: Front- 19x8.5 et32 (22 with spacer) 225/35
Rear- 19x9.5 et35 265/30

NEW SPECS: Front- 18x8 et32 (22 with spacer) 225/40
Rear- 18x9.5 et40 (35 with spacer) 265/35

So far I am pleased with the wheels. They are about 2lbs lighter than the old ones with tires as well.

Heres the Front inner wheel rubbing with the old wheels....

Heres the inner wheel with the new ones...

NOW for some pics....

I will be doing a shoot soon, waiting on some new Mercedes Benz center caps that are almost impossible to find in black with a 65mm diameter.

Let me know what you think

TSW, but which one? Looks fantastic

Ironically, I need a 19 in the rear... With a nice deep lip, it would be a winner.

Hmmm... Have me thinking of taking off my spacer in the rear and running a 35 offset, instead of a 23 in the back, so i can stop rubbing and keep it loww/make it lower. Love your front setup, basically the same as mine ha

Didn't think these wheels would work, but damn I was wrong.

35 offset is perfect for the rear and a 265. However, I did shave down the metal tab where the bumper and fender connect because it rubbed even when the car was stock height with the 19's and a 255.

Yeah I've got 9.5 with a 23 offset, and a 255 and it rubs pretty bad, so hoping the 35 shouldn't rub, tabs are already shaved down

I had to do the same with my W209 to fit the rear 275 Pilot Super Sports.

Great wheels BTW!

if it still rubs, you'll probably want to go down a size to 245/35 the stock C55 size.

OR camber the rear more which the downside is it'll kill your tire faster.

I was gonna run a 245, but I know without the spacer it won't rub

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the original wheels blue and just looked black in the picture?

No they were black in the pic. Then I painted them blue, now they are black again.

Looks great but how's the ride on these? I still run a stock set but thinking of moving to 18's. My other car (Ford Mondeo) has 18's but I reckon it ruins the ride. Also over here in Belgium the car would fail the yearly technical control if wheels are anything but stock. I could get past that by running the stock set on winter tyres though.
BTW; what is a 'Netherlands mod'?
Cheers
Stig
