Making my spare DashDaq available for loan
A week ago I notices a DashDaq XL listed on ebay. Put a bid and a few days and $167.50 later I owned it. For the folks that don't know what a DashDaq is, it is a device that looks like a modern Garmin navigation unit but with ability to monitor, display and record OBD2 signalsto an SD card. Some of the singnals that I monitor on my C32 is the RPM, TPS, Boost, IAT, Timing, Fuel trim and all kinds of other things. The unit can also display codes related CELs and clear them. It is not designed to monitor AFR by itself. The unit is fully functional. I loaded the latest firmware and tested it.
So, since I already have Zeitronix and DashDaq, instead of reselling this unit for a profit, I was thinking of making it available as a loaner to forum members. Shipping charges only. Otherwise it would be free to use. What does everyone think? There may be some conditions, like you can not keep it for more than 30 days, must be a member here for some predetermined period. Maybe something else. Maybe not. Looking for feedback.

Done a bunch of horse trading on this and other forums.
Never been taken, and have come to know several upstanding gentlemen as a result of having done so.
It certainly wouldn’t be considered unreasonable to insist upon a refundable deposit to help ensure its timely return.
I’d like to believe the enthusiasts who choose to data log are a notch above common deadbeats and scammers though.
