Hey Jerry, any update on the shorties? I guess we need 4-5 more people?

This is the best deal to come along on stainless shorties from a reputable vendor in a long time. Don't pass on this one. I'm in!

Good luck guys. I already have shorty headers from EC so I would only be interested in the LT headers. BTW, the EC shorty headers I have now are super. Would buy them again.

What is the install like? I don't have a hoist so I am expecting many painful hours under the car on jackstands.

Are the gaskets reuseable or should I head down to the dealer for this?

One more question are these ceramic coated etc? any problems with heat since they are close to the coils?

white and whiter
Will it be the same shorty header previously done that i currently do have?

On the side note....i kinda wish i have my equal length headers back. Other than the install issue (dumb mechanic hired by vadim) the thing howls and pulls stronger top end.

Count on spending 4 hours or more, depending on your experience and the tools you use. You should get new geskets and new nuts. The headers are not coated but you can ask if EC will coat it for you. My coils are fine. I mostly run at 600-700 F* but go as high as 1100 F*.

Yes, more top end is what I'm looking for.

I think this run is coming coated in a silver high heat treatment. I know they were looking into it the other day when I called. Would be a good bonus if it's included. I can't wait to get my car back on the road.

a car.
Jerry called me today, he's in Washington but got a call from Adam that the package we've been waiting on has arrived. I'm meeting him on Monday for lunch and then heading over to M Power for some work.

Pretty much, the headers are in and I'll have them on early next week. I will post info as soon as I can...

P.S. The money's not in the cost of the headers, it's all the tires!!

I'm not out yet, just an inquiry into Eurocharged I'm waiitng for..hoping this all comes together as after looking around quite a bit I just don't see many cars I'd rather have unless I'm willing to spend quite a bit more than I'd get for this one.

a car.
Jerry gave me a set of pre-production headers last week and I had them installed over at M-Power. Ran a couple passes this past Sunday in Baytown and got as low at 12.882 while my previous best was 13.4 without the headers. My old manifolds are heading to the fabricator so he can compare them to the headers for final inspection and adjustments today. Hopefully some new information comes out within the week.

Headers were the only change, from your old 13.4xx to your new 12.8xx? Your phrasing seems to imply that they were, but just making sure.

Similar DA?

Picking up 6/10ths is huge, congrats.

Correct, that was the only change and it was at the same track with just slightly colder temps. My previous run was with the S/C Pulley and Tune, TCU Tune, SL55 Intake and the custom exhaust work. Didn't even retune with the headers so once we do that I'm looking to run a bit quicker too. Primary cat's are still in place as well so that might be something I look into changing in the near future.

Great number at the track. That's an impressive gain. The factory manifolds must be a bottleneck at our power level. Can't wait for my set. Thanks for the update Chris.
