Check these exhaust bolts before you lose them
I recently noticed louder clinging and clanging coming from underneath my car. I took a look and saw a bracket barely hanging by a thread that I was about to lose.
Brackets 80 and 100 are welded to the exhaust and bolt to the transmission for stability. Rubber piece 140 folds over between the brackets for noise/vibration, and the bottom bracket 150 pushes everything together with two bolts 170.
Well I guess 101,000 miles of vibration made me loose both bolts. EPC startek says they're M8x35mm, so a trip to the hardware store for some M8x1.25 x 40mm bolts, some flat washers and lock washers, and some loctite, I'm back in business. Regardless, feel free to check these bolts on your car.

Appreciate the insight! Glad I did that exhaust work a couple weeks ago...we had to loosen those bolts and put them back in so I know they're nice and snug
