Which tires and size for good drag racing?

What kind and size tires is everyone running at the drag strip? My Michelins can no longer put it down out of the hole with the Quaife, so if I go any more it will need to be on different tires. I want to use my stock rear wheels so I don't have to buy anything but the tires. The only thing I've really found is the Mickey Thompson Street Radial II, but it only comes in 245/40/18. Will that rub at all on the stock rear wheels? I'm lowered very slightly (just under 1"). It looks to be 0.9" taller in diameter, it should fit but I'm not spending $520 without being sure.

Mickey Thompson Street Radial II 245/40/18 on OEM rims is what I run. My best 60' was 1.80. They do not rub and my car is very low.

Alright, that's what I'll go with then. I can't find anything else in 18". Do you run them all the time or only at the track? I would hope the ABS or stability control wouldn't have a fit with the 245/40 on the back and a 235/40 on the front. I was just planning on leaving my C63 wheels on the front since those obviously won't make any difference anyway (plus less things to carry around to swap). My best 60' so far was a 1.99 with the Quaife, but I did manage a 2.00 my first time out before the Quaife.

I just checked their web site again and I see a 265/40/18, but they recommend a 9.5" wide wheel for that size. Aren't the stock wheels 8" wide? That size is 1.5" taller.
