Parktronic failed when fog light on (Bulb and HIDed)
Dear all,
02 C32 RHS steel with parktronic system
I have a intermittently parktronic problem recently. After some deep cleaning all the sensors, they gone for somedays. Then they come back again intermittently. But I was using the 9006 bulb type fog lamp and didn't figure out the parktronic problem and just ignored it.
Then I bought a pair of 55W HID kids and installed to the fog lamp. They are bright and good, no codes come and I am quite happy with that. But I found that the parktronic problem is related to the fog lamp. When I turn on the fog lamp, the parktronic must dead for sure with 4 red dots on. When I turn of the fog lamp, it resume back to normal.
I would guess the problem is not related to the HID but the fog lamp, even I use the bulb type or HID.
Anyone have comment what's the problem ? I will try to replace back to the bulb to see the parktronic status. But I should guess it is no use.
I m just scare about the problem is from the Rear SAM.......![Frown](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Comment please
Thanks
Wilson

I don't have parktronic on my AMG, but our Land Rover LR3 has park sensors. I had installed an aftermarket HID kit on the front foglights, and the park sensors went crazy. Whenever the fogs were on, the park sensors would beep as if the car was near a solid object, when quite clearly it was not. I removed the HIDs and put the stock bulbs back in (I think they are H11s) and the problem disappeared. That said, since then the park sensors intermittently do not work - not sure if it's related or not, but I don't think so. It could be that the module was just failing. I know not very helpful for your AMG, but I'm fairly certain the HID fogs has some weird interference with the park sensors.

That's too bad, that means I m wrong, the HID fog will affect the Parktronic.......
Then I must need to remove the HID fog.....
But I would like to know is there bulb out warning for the Fog? Because I would like to change it to LED fog (hehehe....), but they are just 8W which will trigger The bulb out warning, if they have
