C32 Standard 17" Rims - Widest Tyres i Can Fit?

Hey Guys,

i will eventually get myself a nice set of 18's but got loads of other things using up my spare cash at the moment

Anyway i kinda like the standard 17's and the handling etc.

My car is lowered on H&R Springs.

at the moment i have 225/45/17 & 245/40/17

im looking for the widest possible as a direct replacement without any rubbing issues etc.

cheers.

I the rear, I think 255-40-17 is about the widest you can go unless your fenders are rolled. That's what I run on.

You can run a 265/40/17 on the rear and a 235/45/17 on the front. If you have rear 8" rims on the front you can run some narrower 245/40/17's up front without rubbing. I would stick with a 255/40/17 rear and either the 225 or 235 on the front.

IIRC the speedo is connected to the front tires, right? and will the different tire size change the actual MPH?
TIA,
John

Running 255/40/17 in the rear and 235/45/17 in the front, also dropped on H&R springs. Wouldn't go any wider front or rear, it's already a tight fit.
