Talking NEW to forums!

hey guys im getting outta my rice burners and back into European sports cars. I used to drive a 99 BMW 528i sport package back in high school (3 years ago) im currently big into nissan's and stuff and own a 2005 nissan altima SE-R and a 2004 sentra SE-R spec-v. Me and the wife are getting a divorce so i gave her the altima so im down to my sentra. Well sentra is up for sale so i can get this 2002 c32 AMG i have my eye on :P I been searching around the last 2 days trying to learn all i can before i jump into something. One thing ill say is i ****ing hate and forgot how expensive it is to mess with European cars LOL. but ya gotta pay to play. i have dumped enough into my rice burners and now its time to get a car that does 13's-12's with very minimal amount a work done.....id have to spend about 5 grand or more to get my sentra to even come close to that.......and yeah lol. But thought id stop by and introduce myself and post up pics of the car imma buy. its a 2002 c32 with 72k miles. looks like stock everything but idk yet. and K&N stickers? LOL. moo stickaz mo powa! also anything i should look into changing or get ready to do maintenance on would be appreciated. I guess both air pumps or something was replaced which costed over $1500.....But im ready to jump in! Im also eye balling this.....

You should check if you have the k&n filters on or not...if you do, put oem filters on asap unless you want your MAF to go out...

^Nice guy, but bad advice.

C32's don't have a MAF sensor; they instead use a MAP sensor and K&N style filters seem just fine.

Welcome to the forum.

Seems like a nice example un-modded car other than the k&n filter which you can just clean it up and put it back.

Yeah when I get te car I plan on putting in gastrol edge 5w-30 oil, changing out the plugs (need to search and see if I should go colder or not) also do the plug wires. Pretty much all the maintanence stuff. Also imma check and see if it's got k&n filters on it. Idk have only seen te motor twice and wasn't looking at the air filters lol. Mainly just looked for oil leaks. But yeah. Lol. Def want to grab a pulley and ecu pretty much do the whole stage 1 swap LOL.

I used mobile one in all my bmw's then I saw a review of which oils caused the least amount of damage and mobile one was one of the worst. So I switched and when to a high heat gastrol EDGE oil. Yeah I used royal purple to and didn't like that either.

Search Code 3 Intake which is a company no longer in business, members took the design and made they're own..! It's a plastic cover before the Throttle Body that gets removed and a HEPA filter installed.. There have been many discussions on the performance of these Code 3 air filters in which they can be pulling hot air from the engine.. I have the original Code 3 and noticed a slight gain in performance and love the supercharger whine that comes with it..!
