For ET I agree, however for trap speed, more power = higher trap speeds. Therefore with a 360 rwhp C32, I would expect to see the highest trap speed posted here.

We do have plans to expand evosport over several locations in the coming months.
Why don't you start in Southern CA for one thing. What a joke, you guys don't even have a shop and you don't even have a business listing for your phone number. The SHOshop is not EVOsport, so don't pretend that it is.

Come clean for crying out loud.

Goalie_K,

WOW - you have a big case of sour grapes! Why is this?

Is it because you act like a consumer, while really being connected to RENNTech. Is it because we found you out to be attempting to post here with TWO names!

Here is the proof:
Shopdog = Goalie_k - SAME IP - 24.221.10.200 (cpe-24-221-10-200.az.sprintbbd.net)

Also, do you think we BUILD 6.3 engines and do Magazine work for European Car, Euro Tuner, Grassroots, etc. on the street? LOL. Funny that RENNtech tried to meet with us to be a dealer a year ago and we passed to stay true to our own engineers and to Kleemann. If we did not have a shop, why would they do that?

Maybe you have never been to our facility, but here are some images and a link to more:

To see more - CLICK HERE

Yes, this is the same facility that SHOShop used to be. Yes, we still cater to SOME SHO customers - the ones with 500HP built motors that will rock most MB's. Vadim, our engineer and a partner in evosport was the owner of SHOShop. Where is it written that we cannot have evosport in the same building as the old SHOShop? BTW, SHOShop was the PREMIER tuner for the SVT countour and SHO. This is nothing to be ashamed of. We just don't buy parts from say MKB, and then re-badge them like others do! LOL

Thanks for the opportunity to post some nice pics!

Brad

AHHH my car.... just seeing it in that picture (even though I know it has no engine in it right now) is bringing tears to my eyes. As for Goalie K, before you start talking crap you should do your due diligence. I've been to Evosport's shop several times, realize that SHOshop shares the space but also know that Vadim is a principal in both businesses. The fact that both businesses currently share the same space is a total non-issue.

As for losing respect for Renntech, I find it better to base my opinions on the quality of products, and not the personality of people who own them.

But see, it is always the personality of the people that substantiates the quality, their attitude is only indicative of the disrespect that they have for those around them, which includes their market constituancy. Personally, would I buy something from someone I don't trust...no. Isn't quality substantiated by those who sell it...then again, RENNtech doesn't have that awesome of a reputation. Then again, I don't even have a C32, or even a Benz. But if I did I would choose the parts that get the most bang for the buck, and it seems like evosport provides that by doing all of their own r&d.

Renntech doesn't have that good of a reputation? And does goalie_k even have Renntech products? I have a friend who believes in Renntech products and he is one of the nicest and most fair guys I know. He also has a personal relationship with people within Renntech and he believes that they are good people.

I'd like to understand why you believe Renntech to be a shady shop. They are a respectable tuner, as is Evosport. Both sell quality products. Furthermore, do you actually know anyone who works at Renntech? Remember that Renntech themselves are not bashing Evosport.

Lets be fair here. Evosport most likely has its fair share of disagreeable customers (in the mind of various individuals). Brand loyalty leads to brand rivalry, sort of like when BMW and Mercedes owners bash one another. A lot of people know BMW owners they do not like, but does it mean that BMWs sell bad cars? Absolutely not.

Vraa in particular has ZERO experience with any of the products sold by either establishment. I understand that these sort of incidents make people weary of certain brands, but it's just unfair. I had heard bad stories about Evosport but am considering them along side other comapies. As a sponsor of this forum, they subject themselves to more criticism than other companies, merely because we talk about them here more and the fact that Evosport can respond pubically. I'm sure if Renntech sponsored this forum, people would be complaining night and day about their high prices.

BTW, I like what appears to be your Golf GTI? Looks like a fun car.

[Edit]I had my buddy ask Renntech about their MKB ties. What I recall from our conversation was: Apparently they did have a relationship in the best, but the products they do sell now are a result of their own R&D. I can't remember exactly. It is true that they outsource to other companies for manufacturing, but I doubt Evosport manufactured their own sway bars in house. It's cheaper for companies to come up with specs and have someone else make them accordingly.[/Edit]

It may be the fact that I don't own a benzo that fuels my ignorance, I just have heard a number quite bad things about RENNtech, most importantly the lack of reliability on their tuned vehicles. I understand that brand loyalties do exist, and will forever be present, but one thing that I don't accept is shady actions (multiple users etc). Just as I have a business, and I accept responsibility for the negative comments about my endeavors, I expect the same from others, and those connected in any way, shape or form to me. I am sure RENNtech makes decent products, whether they are nothing more than relabeled or not, but from an unbiased point of view (I don't even own a benzo, so I wouldn't go to Evo or RENN :P), my own experience (extremely limited as it may be) has given me a negative sentiment towards RENNtech.

Now, onto my car...good eye, yes it is a VW GTi. Some people call it the poor man's Porsche...ironically it's usually the poor people like me calling it that Actually, I am thinking seriously about selling it, if it wasn't for my current endeavors concerning the GTi, I would have had an S4 a long time ago.

BUT: Props to RENNtech, and EVOsport, both have made vehicles that are faster than mine...and isn't that what is important.

Well the GTI may be more fun than an S4 anyway, I can't say for sure. But if your company does VW, I assume they also do Audi? S4 works there.

Admittedly, a few of my buddies parts have needed replacement due to defects. (you can see here that I don't hold brand bias, as I am admitting this). So those rumors you have heard might just be true. On the flip side, last time I visited Evosport's shop, the "lobby" did not look like that. They must have remodeled. I should visit it to talk about shocks with Brad.

We all have unhappy customers - bingo! 100% agree.

I think the point is that Goalie_K is actually a RENNtech employee of some level. He is NOT an end-user or a customer.

I am personally not saying anything bad about RENNtech. They do OFTEN fall into the 'tuner'trap' of simply taking off the shelf goods and putting their name on them and taking credit for the development. That irks me a bit, but to each their own! If that is their model, good for them. They have obviously been very successful and have done some nice work. As for MKB specifically, I sat IN MKB in December and saw things for my own eyes, so I beleive that. Of course, this is also circumstantial, so who knows. (see pics here: MKB TRIP). Yes, we have someone make the bars - but to OUR spec. Not like taking K-mac camber plates and selling them as RENNtech. Again, many tuners do this, it is just not in-line with our philosophy. EVERYTHING with the evosport name has 100% of it's design and R&D done by Vadim - PERIOD! If it is co-branded, then we shared the work. If it is another brand, it is made by them.

Thanks

Brad

PS - Yes, we did remodel. Our search for a new place has taken longer then hoped, so we decided to stop putting off fixing the place up and went ahead and freshened up.

Well, I admit, I haven't been to either of the shops physically, but now that I see it, EVO better have those SPARCOs bolted down, or someone might swipe them when they aren't looking

Vadim,

I notice on the dyno plot that the upper blue plot has the same RPM limit as the stock chip. Did you guys raise the rev limiter above the stock 6200rpm? It looks like the power peak is at the RPM limit so it might be useful to extend the limit a few hundred.

Then again maybe the transmission would shift around 6200rpm making it worthless. One reason I ask is because my car still occasionally hits the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift, this might help.
