Isolation kit installation, need drain all the coolant?
Will install the IC coolant isolation kit soon, know it is easy job, but want to ask if need to drain all the coolant during kit installation?

You don't have to, but it would be a good time to do a coolant flush and maybe replace the intercooler pump while you're at it. Don't buy the mb coolant, way too expensive. Look for Zerex g05, should be about 10-15 a gallon and you only need one. Use half of that with distilled water. Same stuff as the mb coolant, but less than half the price. I could only find it at advanced auto parts and napa, I think.

You will end up draining a little bit. It is really hard to avoid making a mess, even a small mess. I just drained it and did a full flush. I got my coolant from MB. It was cheaper than the zerex over here for some reason, not sure why since everything else is way way more expensive at the dealer but this country is weird when it comes to pricing automotive stuff.
