problems... help

So, i bought my c32 from a dealership 3 weeks ago, so couple of days ago on my way home a knocking sound started from the engine, came home popped the hood the sound was nasty, towed it to a shop, got a call after that my crank pulley is shot and there is some shavings so still not sure if it screwed up the crank, the pulley was cutting into the upper oilpan and the tensioner pulley is shot.... estimate $2600, i have experience with simulat situations so im considering doing it myself... now they said that the crank pulley was aftermarket oversize, im thinking to get the eurocharged pulley kit and tune + replace tensioner.... what do you think? any recomendations? thanks

You need to make sure the crankshaft is ok. Sounds like someone botched the install or something happened after the install. Take pics so we fan see what happened and maybe identify the manufacturer. You probably already have a tune, I think the only pulley that you could run with out a tune was a 178.

And definitely don't have a dealer do it! You're gonna be walkin funny afterwards.
Just find a local Indy MB Mechanic.

And I've heard of people running 185's without a tune, but it's dangerous as hell.

Assuming the crank is fine, you can do the repair and upgrades yourself. If you would like the name of an indy in Oakville, pm me. He runs his own shop and drives a C32.
