South African C32 AMG owners thread
Hi all. As a new owner in South Africa, I would like to call all likeminded owners together on one thread to consolidate info and where to get what done. Experiences, meetings, rides etc etc.
So, I'll start. Recently purchased a 2003 C32 basically stock except c55 boot spoiler that was already fitted.
It has a slight klunking noise from the front suspension which is being attended to next week. Other than that, the radio only fully illuminates when the weather is cold. On a warm day it is all but illegible, sounds like a dry solder joint.
Other than that and the fact that it has 255/40 tires on the rear, all is good
Location. Krugersdorp

Can Help with info if you need if I know that is. Hahaha. Good luck with you car and congrats. Bring in some more South Africans here. Off topic, anyone know of a good dyno shop in Johannesburg or who do you get to work on your mods such as pulley kits etc. Thanks

What's up fellas.
My 32 was supposed to have extensive mods but then my wife drove it and loved it so I've left her stock minus the cats. Hope she falls out of love soon though...lol
I'm a 202 man though...got 4 of them...yeah I know...it's an obsession..all modded

Gentlemen, my dad recently gave me a C32...so I'm a new C32 owner I guess...
It has C55 command system, the screen, the cluster, the seats and more.
I am trying to have my side mirrors close automatically just like the W204's.
My side mirrors do close when I press the mirror buttons inside and open when I press again, anyone have an idea how to make this happen all automatically?

I have the secondary cats out, planning on taking the resonator out soon but having second thoughts cause it sounds soooo good already and then I'm planning on robbing a bank and getting a supercharger bolted on lol

I see on pg 108 of the user manual they talk about saving memory so that the passenger side mirror sets itself when reversing to see how far you are from the kerb, maybe try these steps with the mirrors in Good luck and let us know if you get it right

I think it is going to be so loud with the resonators out as well. Save that money for the supercharger, my hat, that would take it it to a whole other world man.

Hey Vashan,
Welcome ! Nice car, did you get some decent gains for the exhaust setup? I bet it certainly sounds a whole lot meaner not that it was shabby before!!! I just left Durban recently. Not sure of any groups you can join there. Hopefully some more Durban o's can chime in here for you

Shaun, I remember enquiring some years ago, but was told they couldn't do the uni-chip yet on our vehicles. May have changed now though and there is something for you. You got someone you can contact and ask? I had many of them installed on previous cars. Just not the AMG's

C32 AMG, C240, 380SE, 280SE
Hi guys, yep, got 4 Mercs, one is a C32, love it. Had some real ding dong battles....Panemera, Jag FF, GTR.....superbikes (1000cc). I do my own work on all my cars so if anybody is having issues maybe its something that I've already done. Can't find the place to list the cars though. I've the C32, 280se, 380se and C240.

That price seems right, I just got a notification that Steve's Autoclinic in Durb's is offering a Uni-chip install and tune for R3500, a little bit far from you but just confirming your price.
