Is it difficult to remove the resonator?

I want to take the resonator out. The sound of the C32 is just too soft.

Is it difficult to replace the resonator? Im skeptical to take it to a regular muffler shop and have them do it. but then again it cant be too difficult for "joe mechanic" at the local meineke shop. How much am I looking at? I see supersprint has a sport resonator.

It is very easy to take the resonator out. Any reputable muffler shop can do that for you. The only thing that you should watch out is to ask them to get a stainless steel pipe for you, otherwise, ordinary metal pipe will get rusty over a period of time. It's a less than 1 hr job. You will love the sound without resonator!! It sounds pretty close to a SL55!

Ok, dumb question:

Does this create any issues with emissions or passing smog tests down the road?

It's completely legal to do this mod, right?
