Replacing Shift Knob?

How do I do this and also.. does anyone know where I can get a silver/aluminum AMG shift knob?

May I know where did you see AMG has a silver/alumimum shift knob?

i wanted to remove mine and install one of those metal skulls with red eyes as a joke ..anyone removed their shifter?

I will have MB look at mine

when it goes in this weekend b/c it seems to be separating between the Alum/Leather part on the left side of the shifter.

I will ask the service manager if he would part with this information then...

'08 BMW e92 335i
first remove the shift boot by lifting it up from the chrome ring. then look under the boot and find the 'lock' for the knob. twist it(clockwise from above the knob) and it should unlock it. lift up and you're done..
