Headlight issues. Pics

Has anyone ever seen this problem? I went to my local auto parts store thinking I need a headlight restorer, the GM came out to look at the car and said it's on the inside of the lights. He's said he's never seen this before; it looks like little bubbles in the lens. It's on both my lights and when they're turned on it looks even worse. Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Does the exterior of the light feel smooth or rough?

Can you clean the inside of the lights(probably not). Also, are they hard to take out?

Mine are starting to look like that a bit.

I believe there are 2 options here.
1. Live with with.
2. Pay copious amounts of US currency to purchase replacements.

If they're smooth on the outside you can eliminate rock chips as a source of the bubbling. That means it is either moisture internally or break down of the plastic lens due to UV.

What type of detailing products do you have available to you?

On my '04 the driver's side light is looking exactly like this; I went thru the whole restoration process (wet sanding, plastic polish) in just the hope that making the outside surface perfect it would help - did not. I read that you can put the assy in the oven to melt the glue holding the lens so you could remove it and clean the inside, but honestly that sounds like a recipe for disaster. I'm searching e-bay these days for affordable replacements.
