I would guess that there are probably only about 5-600 total for 05 and 06, and I bet the Canadian market 06s would be in double digits only. That said, I did ask about 07 as well, but I understand North America never got MY07s, so we'll see.
I also asked for a breakdown of colours too, so hopefully they'll give me that info too!

Seen in Mountain View. Actually lives at a house I used to live in. Kind of crazy.

last seen in mountain view heading towards 101. Busted front end and swiped on the side. Was being driven by an Asian girl.
Red C55. Aftermarket wheels, suspension and what looks like a custom exhaust. Works in San Mateo, I saw him driving up the 101 from Mtn View a few times.
And then there was me.. but I'm now alone in NE.
I did see a C55 earlier when I moved here.. snapped a pic.

Looked 100% stock minus the satellite antenna on the trunk lid.

There was a black C55 on the same block but its gone-my compliment was ignored so dunno anything.
The silver I see in the area is also driven by Asian girl but looked clean of any scratches.

Bought and imported mine to NC from Toronto, CA back in July, 2011. The color there was pearl gray metallic but in the states it is granite gray metallic. It has the C55 badges on the front fenders which I thought was standard in Canada so would appreciate a confirmation on that. The import duty was zip and when I asked why, the reply was ' its only about $20 so forget it' so I ran!
Only thing I don't like is the AT is slow to shift and doesn't have a sixth gear, which it could use easily.

I was told back in 2011 when I bought mine in Canada that there were a total of 1750 C55s brought to North America. This confirms what we've learned lately here.

I just sent Mercedes Canada an email asking about Canadian import numbers. Previously they responded to my request for Canadian market C43s, so I'm hoping for a response on the C55s soon. When I know, I will post it up!

BTW, I'm guessing the 07s are just MY06s sold in 2007. No paint information though, unfortunately.

I got a response from Mercedes Canada on the C55 import numbers. Wow, very rare cars up here! More rare than C43s.
BTW, I'm guessing the 07s are just MY06s sold in 2007. No paint information though, unfortunately.

No, the external labels/badges for Canadian models is the same as the American models. The "C55" badges on the front fenders on your car were an aftermarket "mod". I presume your speedometer is labeled in km/h, though.

This thread has had pretty steady traffic & this is sort of on topic - I spotted a red C55 parked in the same BART (Dub/Pls) lot as me yesterday when I left for home. This morning it is still sitting there all by its lonesome. Haven't seen the car before yesterday and that garage is STRICTLY daily parking. Worried/wondering who's it is...

I fixed it for you!!
I saw another granite grey C55 in Potomac, MD recently. It was being driven by a lady who was 60+ while in sport mode and using the paddles!!
