C30 cdi AMG
Hellow,
I'm new here and i'm wondering how many C30 CDI AMG owners there are here. I bought a c30 facelift model and want to know the experience of other c30 owners.
I also want to know weather the original suspension can me improved by Bilstein B8 suspension. Has anyone has this suspension on his c amg?
Here's a picture of mine

C 30 CDI AMG 2,950 cc (180 cu in) 20V I5 turbo (OM612) 231 PS (170 kW; 228 hp)@3800, 540 N·m (398 lb·ft)@2000-2500
The C 32 AMG scaled back down to a 3.2-litre V6 engine, to match the E46 M3 displacement and improve weight distribution, but it required a twin-screw type supercharger (manufactured by IHI) to reach 260 kW (354 PS) and 450 N·m (332 lb·ft). Like its predecessors, it used a five-speed automatic, helping it to complete a 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) sprint within 5.2 seconds. The second version was C 30 CDI AMG, using a 3.0-litre five-cylinder diesel engine, capable of 170 kW (231 PS) and 540 N·m (398 lb·ft). Both were available in all three body styles, but the diesel model did not reach sales expectations and was retired in 2004, as was as the C 32 AMG SportCoupé.

If you have the standard sedan (W203) then the world is your oyster when it comes to suspension and brake upgrades. All W203's without the 4matic driveline can use the Bilstein PSS9 coil-overs.
And according to Bilstein directly the shock absorber for your car is indeed the B8. Specifically

I'm from Belgium. i thought you could get on in 2005... mine is delivered 11/2004.
it really goes as hell!
i also want to upgrade the breaks to the SLK 55 amg breaks. Normally this works without big changes. just have to find them

Where are you located? I'm assuming not in the US with that version of the car.

Nice car. The speedo is just in km/h, no big deal. Bigger deal is the tach, that hits the redzone at 4500 rpm

If the car has done less than 125 000 kilometers then I would suggest that you take it to a tuning shop for ECU programming. I have two friend who are running about 300 BHP and 600 HM of torque. Their cars were between 100k and 125k when the ECU programming was done and have been running for more than 100k after that with no special problems.
If you want to do ECU tuning for your car I can recommend couple of places in Finland since it is the holy land of diesel tuning.

He has 124000 km. i already thought about it but weren't sur of it. i don't want to break somethink and has no idea what they could get safely... did they also changed the IC or just ECU?

For that KM I would say it is good for ECU tuning. Just make sure that the previous oil changes has been done properly on time. And if you decide to do the ECU tune then change the oil a bit more often than the normal service interval requires. For my friends no other modifications were made. Just ECU programming. Diesel engines are very strong in the first place. But of course if you tune the engine you are trading some reliability for performance. Just don't go too far. Simple ECU tuning will make your car a lot faster and stronger.

I think its worth the money for that feature and if your roads aren't the best then I'd highly recommend it.

Wow very cool. I've never seen one in person.
BTW you should put the "C30" back on the trunk! From the factory does it read C30CDi on the left and then ///AMG on the right?

I considered to leave the badge on the trunk, but it's to lovely when a big car thinks he could beat me. Porsche carrera for exemple
Now i sometimes get the remark that a AMG badge may only be placed on a real AMG and that mines isn't a real one...

Interesting exhaust choice by MB for the C30. I would have expected something along the lines of the C32 or CLK55 convertible. Same location just two chrome tips instead.
What do your brakes look like? Same setup with 4 piston fronts crossdrilled. And 2 piston rears?

Jup, same setup for the brakes.
In Germany you find a lot of c30 SC. i don't like them like a sedan or wagon. i first searched a wagon facelift but that was no go... i'm glad i found this one, nice option and facelift!

Mention in a Mercedes-Benz C Class video about the C30cdi ///AMG, apparently its was a hot model in europe, but not available in the USA. It was available in 2002.
