C55 steering wheel auto leveling not working! Help!

Hey guys,

Hope 2013 is off to great start for everyone!

Recently took my C55 in for a service and after I picked it up I noticed that my steering wheel doesnt auto level anymore (when I turn the car off and open the door it doesnt shift up automatically like it used to, and when I start it up and close the door it doesnt shift down like it used to).

How do I fix this? Is there some sort of a reset I can do myself or do I have to go back to the dealer for this?

Your knowledge and assistance would be much appreciated, thanks!

If you go into the convenience menu using the steering wheel controls you can check it's set right.

The options on mine are off, steering wheel and seat and steering wheel only from memory.

Cheers,

Phil

if it broke (which from what I've heard is VERY common) its a plastic tab on the inside that snaps and costs over $1000 to replace since the whole steering column has to be removed...GL

Hey guys,

Thanks for your responses! They were definitely very helpful! Thankfully it wasnt broken, the setting just needed to be turned on. Works like a charm now.

Cheers!

Just make sure that when u get in or out of your car, u don't pull on the steering wheel, that's what helps break it.

Good to know.

I hope you're not speaking based upon experience.
