I've been thinking about it. I would love to have a TV in my car.
It's this paragraph on their site that has me a little worried:
"Warning: We recommend that only serious hobbiests buy this system, as installation requires some advanced techniques such as removing the headliner to change the antenna."
I would like to find out exactly what are the techniques other than removing the headliner, before i even think of taking that somewere and doing that to my car.

The Mercedes NAV-TV System is a do-it-yourself kit that adds a Mercedes TV Tuner to your car. This tuner allows your passengers to watch broadcast television right on the screen as you drive.
The kit consists of the following:
1. Mercedes TV Tuner - (explained above)
2. Tuner Bracket - used to install TV Tuner
3. Wiring Harness - used to connect TV Tuner
4. New AM/FM/TV VHF/TV UHF/Cell Antenna - used to acquire signal
5. Detailed Instructions - easy to read with many hi-res pictures

The basic settings of comand leads to a US spec comand with an inactive (blank) TV button which needs to be activated (can be done at any MB dealer). Besides this easy activation any comand (euro or US spec) will switch to a safety screen as soon as the car is 1) not in park, 2) the parking brake is not engaged, 3) the car starts to move and 4) the speed is above 6mph.
Mercedes can get rid of the first 3 safety triggers but are no longer able to get rid of the fourth safety trigger...
Buying the add it yourself TV kit (see the list with items you will get) will get you a TV feature that can only be used when the car is NOT in motion (see quote at the top that doesn't mention that).
I do know that nav TV offers the service to get rid of that fourth safety trigger but they charge 450USD just for that...
TV (while in motion) in any mercedes can be so much easier or at least cheaper (do a search on comand and or MBenzNL if/when you consider something like that)...

I have factory fitted TV in my (Australian spec) C32. The sound works on the move, but the picture only works when stopped.
The novelty soon wears off - only gets turned on to show friends etc.
BTW, does anyone know how to get the picture working on the move?

Nav-TV is charges crazily high prices for their work. I had similar intention when just purchased my car a year ago; did some research; and concluded that Nav-TV is not the most feasible solution. All in all, I think you are looking at +-$3,000. Now think about the alternative: Ebay a $1,000 Euro nav, some plugs and adapters $100. The hard part is fitting everything, and knowing where the wires plug into.
