Transmission jerk, right after gear shift(?)

Since the temperature dropped (called winter), I'm getting this jerk right after the gear change. It only happens for the first couple of minutes. More strange is, perhaps, that when the temperature drops even more, that is a couple degrees below freezing, the gear changes are smooth again. So, between say 0 degrees and +10 degrees (Celsius that is) the gear changes are a problem, below they are alright (but after a minute or two when the tranny gets a little warmer the jerk appears) and when it's warmer they're fine again. I've checked the oil level and it's OK. I've also changed the oil twice in the last 3500km. My car is a C55 with appr. 180 000 km.

Any ideas?

I don't think that is the case since the jerk is rather violent and I haven't had it before. It is also strange, I think, that when it is really cold the jerk disappear.

When the car is not warmed up, you get a premature torque converter lockup when cold, you really only feel it if you tranny mount is toast, search the forum and you will find that the mounts only last 40K.

Thanks,

I suspected it had something to do with the torque converter, since the jerk is right after gear shift, but I didn't know that it could have something to do with the tranny mount. I'll look it up.

C55 AMG T with Kleemann K2 and some stuff: 414 hp and 562 Nm :-)
Keep us posted, I have the same issue. I´ll check the gearbox oil level the
"scientific way" to start, with the car connected to Merc´s computor and
read level when oiltemperature is 80 degree celcius exactly.
My problem started with my first gearbox oilchange, after a while I changed
it again at another indieshop. Maybe the problem lies there; the oil is not completely changed (in the converter too) or the oil hasn´t got the right specs.
When warm it works perfect!

Mine just started to do this now that the temp is below 50*F. Does anyone have a diagnosis of this issue yet?

Thanks.
