drivers headlight not working

The drivers side headlight bulb went out recently on my C32. It has an oem HID system. I replaced both bulbs and the drivers went out again! I checked the fuses (62,63) and both were fine, the replacement bulb seemed ok as well no burns still looked new. I swapped it with the old but working bulb from the passager headlight and still no luck. My assumption is a bad ballast but should I check something else before I try sourcing a replacement ballast?

Thanks Guys

I have never had this issue with a Mercedes, only with a e46 bmw m3. I was having an issue with the ground wire for that xenon light. Maybe your having a similiar issue

I was planning on making a warranty claim to replace the bad ballast. But I am considering upgrading the headlights to the later model projector headlights. Depo make good replicas and im wondering if these headlights (http://www.ebay.com/itm/USA-DEPO-01-...c87d44&vxp=mtr)
Will work with an HID car, these seem to be an upgrade to halogen cars?
