Full SL55 Intake (Y-pipe, hoses, Airboxs, filters & inlets)= $410
SL55 (Y-pipe, hoses) = $80
SL55 (Airboxs, filters & inlets) =$330
prices may change depending dealer.. I have seen people that has paid $200 for SL55 Y-pipe, hoses.
I'm getting ready to do the SL55 intake/splitter mod and I had what might be a stupid question. If I'm doing the whole mod with the intakes, then I don't need to cut the hoses down in any way? Correct?

Also, I noticed some other folks have done the complete mod. Were the parts readily available (in the US)? Did you pay around the same prices? Are they the same part #s as above/below? Did you have to reference a car (ex. 2003 SL55) when ordering? Did the filters come with the airboxes? Did you get the SL55 forward engine cover (~$110) too?

Thanks!

Y parts:

113-094-01-03 --- y-connector
113-094-23-82 --- hose
113-094-24-82 --- hose

So I ordered the parts today and the guy wants a VIN#. I'm tempted to go on eBay and look for a SL55 VIN#. Have any of you run into this problem? If so, how did you handle it?

Thanks.

I pulled a VIN# off of eBay. The only issue I had was that it seemed to bring up a different looking front engine cover. I did not have a specific part # for that. They quickly found a cover that looked like the one in Pierre's pics and I ordered that one. The part # was 113-010-09-67.

Pierre, is that the same part # for the SL55 cover you modded?

Hi guys, I thought I'd resurrect one of these old threads instead of starting a new one. I finally got around to installing my full SL55 intake (thanks 320dreamer). I can really notice the difference in the character of the car. The one issue I'm having is that since I put it on, sometimes it's idling a lot higher that it should be. Normally it idles around 500 or so, now its been idling between 1000 and as high as 2000 rpms. Has anybody else experienced this? What could be causing it?

if im not mistaken the ecu has to learn the new intake setup. try doing a throttle reset and give it a week or so for the ecu to learn the new setup

This is not normal. You may have issues with your throttle body. Make sure that the cable harness is well secured.

Definitely there is something wrong; my best guess that you may have mistakenly disconnected one of the tubes during the installation of your new intake. Check all the lines and tubes where you have installed the intake. Good luck!

Yeah, I'm going to do that in the morning. I took it out tonight and it seemed better. Actually when I turn the car on it's fine, driving it's great, it's only after a drive when I put it in park the revs go up. If I put it back in gear, they go back down to normal.

sounds like a vacuum leak, double check all your connections.

I experienced the same about 6 months ago after I installed first full SL55 intake but after I checked all the tubes and lines, I found it was small black tube near rhe driver side air box that sliped away from its place?
The problem of this high rpms is directly gone away after I returned back the tube to its place!

LET intake with ITG Filter
Eurocharged short Headers
LET 185mm Pulley
LET Tune
C3P HE
CM30 Pump
Resonator & Rear Cat Delete.
NGK IX Iridiums
Magnecor 8.5mm Wires

Bingo! The little black (vacuum?) tube behind the right airbox had slipped off. It was close enough together that I didn't even notice it last night. Thanks guys. You saved me a bunch of time and worry.
