Since the U.S. is full of pansies w/ no common sense, damn near nothing over here is rated to tow anymore. I know towing across the pond is no biggie, but I can't find any info on European C55s to see what they're rated to tow. I tried googling it but can't find any real info, can someone give me the Euro-C55's tow-rating please?

I'm looking to tow a dirtbike or three and want to see what my options are.

I looked it up a long time ago and found that the C55 was not rated to tow, all the other were but don't recall for how much.

I wonder if it's the dual exhaust preventing a solid mount? Surely someone has a tow hitch on one of these somewhere? Don't make me take the wife's V6 Passat, PLEASE.

You're right about towing in the states. I see all sorts of E- and S-classes with tow hitches around Dublin. Strangest was a R129 SL towing a horse box on the autobahn.

If I recall correctly, it was either 300lb tongue and 3000 Gross weight, or 150 tongue and 1500 gross. this was for a C320 as technically the 55 isn't rated to tow. the Curt C320 hitch looks like it should fit with a slight cut out in the bumper. I have been wanting to put one on, I have just been too lazy to follow through.
