Like I said previously, having second thoughts about caliper colors. I grabbed the first matching pair of contoured items I could find to paint to get some opinions of the current options. What do you guys think? I'm leaning towards Maverick's opinion that the burnt copper may not be bold enough for gloss black rims. The other color is VHT "Red Fire". Thoughts?

The burnt copper would be the best - I mean they paint the best calipers in that color.

Sure does, that looks awesome. Glad that the quality is really there.

I think a Mt Dew color would look great on your car. I take it you're sticking with doing this yourself and not farming it out? Powdercoating would allow for more color options, and last longer.

Yeah, of the two I was considering, the fire red doesn't look as nice after some consideration. Wish I could get a set of those though!

Hmmm! Hadn't considered that! I had thought of matt electric blue, but a chartreuse might be tasty

I didn't know the carbon ceramics were available on the CLK BS...learn something new all the time here Was that a ROTW option?

Yup, real cf...they pull the aluminum off the base or sand down your wood trim for a real cf overlay. The pics Matt sent were pretty small, I'll post PLENTY of pics when it gets here

Hey dre why don't you give us a quote on the CF mod? there could be a lot of potential customers including myself depending on what the price of this mod is.

Let me know how everything looks when it comes back please. I wanted to do the same with my interior, but I have the aluminum trim. Thanks!

I don't want to speak for him, but I will. Probably best to speak to Matt at O'Carbon directly. There is no standard pricing ATM on his Benz work, since Dustin and I are the only two Benzes as far as I know that he's worked on, so the pricing is in flux, I'm sure.

He also does best on email, btw.

Depends on what you decide to have done. I got more than the standard trim, so I'm not sure how much it'll be if you guys are looking for just the standard trim...and I don't know how long the "developmental" pricing will last. I'd guess maybe less than 1K for the standard trim if developmental pricing is still in effect, but I really can't say for sure!!!

*Should* be in my hands on Friday, I'll post pics this w/e! Aluminum trim works just fine to skin, most of the trim I sent was aluminum.

Agreed, I didn't request a breakout of how much each piece was, I sent the whole grocery list b/c I already knew what I wanted...Matt responds pretty quickly via email though if anyone is interested

I still haven't had a chance to take pics of the suede samples, I'll make sure to do so this w/e when I have the trim. Got a TCU tune at the EC DC open house too, I'll give a review after I can put some miles on it but pleased so far!

Got pics of my cf trim overnight. Posted on my gallery and build thread here.

The blue cf is subtle, but you can see it in the light. Work looks awesome!

I should be able to slap my stuff on my car by the end of the month.

Sorry it's been a while to update fellas, between being sick for 2 weeks, work and family issues there hasn't been much free time. Here's a few pics of the CF center console installed. I haven't done the doors yet because I'm waiting on the door pulls so I only have to pull the panels off once. Should be here soon though...

Also, I'm enjoying the EC TCU tune so far. I've had a hangup on the 2nd to 3rd shift once or twice but haven't let it sit overnight with the battery disconnected due to lack of time. I'll let you all know how that goes when I have a chance.

Looks awesome installed!

I'm in the same boat - waiting for a couple of pieces still, then will do it all at once.

Sorry for the lack of updates fellas, been dealing with my step-mom having lung cancer, new job and new gf so modding has taken a bit of a back seat. Chemo for my step-mom has been going better than the doctors say they could ever have hoped for though so that's fantastic.

Rear calipers are still half stripped and UDP still hasn't been installed but given that things are settling down hopefully I'll get back to those projects in the next few weeks. Still waiting on the last 2 pieces from Ocarbon (my fault, not Matt, for above reasons). I have installed the passenger front though

Thinking about maybe getting black door pulls, I mocked it up with the pulls from the black C32 panels I got the donor trim from...what do you guys think?

Mulac, pretty sure the email is matt@ocarbon.com, I'll double check for you...
