Spongy brakes

Spongy brakes
Yesterday, after a long drive, my brakes began acting weirdly. The pedal feels a little bit spongy at first and after braking for a couple of seconds the pedal almost goes all the way to the floor.
My front rotors are pretty worn but my pads (redstuff) are in good condition. Can worn rotors do this? The fluid is changed according to schedual.
All ideas are appreciated.

Sounds like you either introduced air into the system and need your brake system bled., or your master cylinder is starting to go.
Worn rotors would not cause this condition. Excess rotor runout will cause your wheel to shake when braking
