C55- Removing rear seats

I need to remove my rear seats. So far I've taken out the bottom part of the rear seats (as well as the small leather piece that goes behind the seat buckles) and the center/foldown armrest. I can see the bolts holding the black brackets that are attached to the bottoms of the seats. The problem is, on each right and left end of the seats, theres a long rod thats used to fold them back and forth and has a pneumatic connection on it with a cable. theres no space to wedge the seat off the rotating rod, which is held in by 12 point bolts with barely any space to access them. Not to mention the bolts are pretty long. Does anyone know a DIY or know how to remove this back portion of the rear seats? every time i pry the bracket off of the bottom of the seat, it becomes loose, but is still stuck on the rotating rod. I know this may sound confusing, and i will try and post pics. but if anyone has any info, it would be much appreciated! Thanks

-Mike

Did you ever get the seats OUT and then back IN...any tips or tricks?
Do you have a PICTURE of this ROD? or is it the actual vacuum hose(s)?!

BF, a tip for you that's not mentioned above. The sides of the back seats will come out also (the section between what folds down and the door), not sure if maybe that will give access or not to remove them. You don't even have to remove the bottom part to get it out, literally just grab that piece and it clips right off. Maybe look behind there?

2005 C55 black on black aka DVS C55, 2007 C230 sport silver on black for the boss
pry off the white hose connection with a small screw driver. it will just pop out.

the sides of the seat have a bolt at the bottom and just yank the top part to get it free.

there is a center bracket that holds the seats down, unbolt this and begin to unbolt the ends as much as possible, move the seat to either side to get the bolts out and seat loose. it will come out as one big piece and then you slide the sections apart.

Thanks. Spent some time trying to get a used OEM vac line...a guy here wanted I think $125 and a guy on ebay wanted $165! So I'll use my new Dealer connectors ($4 a pop) and some standard vacuum line...

So...this will be my fun night time project while my girls sleep...

PICTURE PLEASE OF INTERMEDIATE PAD MOUNT

Hi,
Can someone please post an image of the way the intermediate (long skinny section between main sections where the seatbelt buckles are located) pad is mounted OEM in your ///AMG? I want to get this install as close to OEM as possible and neither WIS or EPC show me…

Thanks!
