The car has been running great with no problems at all. changed all rotors and pads today. I test drove the car to my in-laws, no issues. when it was time to leave, the car unlocked via the key fob but when I put the key fob in, it wouldn't even change positions. I went home and got the spare key and the same thing.....but this time no response from the car it wouldn't un lock or lock, the key fob goes into the slot but will not turn. I tried jumping the car thinking maybe the battery is going but still no response. Thanks for any suggestions

I had this problem once.. Unplugged battery, checked fuses, tried spare key; nothing worked.

I cleaned the key slot with alcohol on a qtip and it turned and fired right up. Hasn't happened again in a year.

Just an update, disconnected the battery, and the car started right up. so far so good!
