C55 OEM Bluetooth help

I sold my last c55 and recently bought a one owner C55.

The new C55 has the oem Bluetooth system installed. I bought the 6131 Bluetooth adapter and it does not light up.

I checked all the fiber optic connections according to the Mercedes install instructions and I have everything connected correctly.

I made sure all the fuses needed are installed. Bluetooth unit does not light up and maybe anyone knows what it may be or has encountered this? None of the wires to the contact plate look pinched or severed.

It's almost like I'm not getting power to the contact plate.

Any ideas?

fiber optics can be tricky, did you unplug the cable in the MHI control module and maybe see if there are any lights coming from them? Maybe your puck is bad do you have another you can try?

I have tried 3 other pucks and no luck. Known working ones too. I have unplugged the fiber optic connector to the MHI control unit and lights do come through it. When its Unplugged satellite and all sound etc is gone.

I'm thinking it may be contact plate or the cable that is after the contact plate. What I'm trying to figure out is where after the contact plate black connector, it goes to a cable harness that leads to a blue connector. And wherever that blue connector leads to may be unplugged?

I know everything in the trunk is hooked up correctly.

I would start with the contact plate, I think the wiring is part of the body harness and you would probably have to tear the car apart to get to it and if it was broken you wouldn't have much of a chance or replacing it. I have no experience with it, but I know there are no separate wiring kits just for the phone fiber optics. If that doesn't work have the dealer figure it out. I doubt something is just unplugged why would anyone just leave it unplugged?

After careful inspection I noticed the contact plate had a portion that look shorted. ( last two pins on the bottom right) Ordered a new contact plate and hopefully that works.

Also had my mechanic hook up his star computer and it shows the telephone module working.
