HELP! replaced CPS and now car dies under hard acceleration

Car would stop running when it was hot and would not start again until it was cooled down. Took it to shop and as I thought they said it was the CPS. Got it back yesterday and drove fine today until I put the hammer down. It immediately bucks and either stalls or almost does. Start right back up. but every time I hammer it it croaks. Reset the ECU and tried unplugging battery but still does the came. No CEL. Soooooo could it be the CPS is wrong or bad? MAF suddenly went out? Any thoughts would be as usual MOST appreciated. Getting really frustrated with my baby hammer.

Thanks

did they use aftermarket parts? Why don't you call and talk with the mechanic?

Well ordered an OEM CPS (30.00 more) and installed it.... Problem solved. Seems fine now. Get what you pay for.
