Hey Guys,

I am just wondering if anyone would know if My 02 c32 amg came with a 3.5mm female connection, if so where would it be located??

I do not have navigation on this car, just the 6 cd changer and tape deck

there should be a perforated hole on the upper right wall in your glove box. i believe that is where you should find a prewired hold for the aux cable. secondly, i'm not sure if you have the bose option but i know those cars have an amp located in the trunk that you need to connect it to.

i haven't performed this task yet either but i know its there.

let me know how it goes!

so if there is a hole there, is it possible for the car to have aux?

this is correct. i have the same car as you with bose package (no nav) and there is a perforated cut out on the right side wall. apparently our year is completely prewired for all options.

might be a different story if you have bose or not though. i know you have to run through the factory amp if you have the package.

Does anyone know how this works when you have navi + bose? The hole is there in the glovebox but no wiring. Do I need to run a cable to the trunk?

You cannot add aux if you do not have factory navigation unit installed. The navi unit has the option to select auxiliary source when you press the service button on the navi. The bose deck or amp in trunk do not have any connectors to which an aux cable can be connected to.

If your car came with factory navigation unit installed, the wiring should be in place. If you do not see the aux port in the glove box then you will need to buy the adapter harness from Mercedes. Part# A210 440 50 05. It has the 3.5mm jack socket at one end, and a white four pin connector at the other which connects to the white connector located under the passenger side sill cover (Only if you have COMAND unit)

There is a way to add aux to factory radio with cassette but that requires cutting the traces and soldering in aux wire. You will also need to disconnect the wires on the cassette motor mechanism. This process basically replaces your cassette with an aux.
